Soprano Jessica Walch is a versatile emerging young artist. She is a current student at Montclair State University where she is pursuing a Master’s in Vocal Performance. In both 2013 and 2014, Jessica was recognized by the Continuo Arts Foundation’s Minuetto Music Festival as an Emerging Artist Award Winner.
Recent performance credits include Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Lady Saphir in Patience, Nursing Sister & Alms Sister in Suor Angelica, Edith in Pirates of Penzance, and Violet Hilton in Side Show. She has worked with opera and theater companies such as Light Opera of New York, Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Co., Garden State Opera, New York Lyric Opera, Stony Hill Players, and the Montclair State University and Muhlenberg College performance ensembles.
She is a member of the Continuo Arts Foundation Civic Chorale and professional choir Sonare. In the summer of 2014 she attended a professional development opera intensive called Opera Ischia with voice teacher Michael Paul. In 2010 she participated in the Manhattan School of Music Summer Voice Festival and studied with Neil Rosenshein. Jessica received her Bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College with a double major in Vocal Performance and Communications.
